So what happens when both players have the same amount of yellow cards? Does the victory point just cancels out, meaning both players does not receive any victory points. Or does the player who built the guild receives the victory point, despite being a tie.

The card is worth 1 victory point for each yellow card in the city that has the most yellow cards. In this case both cities have 4 yellow cards, so no matter what, the card is worth 4 points for the player who actually built the guild card.

7 Wonders Duel

They are basically a way to either win points for something you have a lot of or, what's more fun, piggyback from what your opponent has built, similar to the regular 7 Wonders game where the guilds can give you points for what your neighbors build.

Edit: example - you have the merchant guild, your city has 3 yellow cards, your opponent built 5 yellow cards. It doesn't matter which city this is, and a tie is also irrelevant. Of course, like every other card, only the player who has it scores points for it, based on exactly the wording given.
